Lolili Blog

Our Fall/Winter 2022 collection is out in the world.
In this continuing this blog series, I bring you Part 2: The Best Way to Store Scarves in a Closet.
Lolili Fine Art Scarves: A Lover’s Guide
A large portion of my work is in landscape photography. With countless hours spent in my digital darkroom recently, I have taken notice of something.
What I love about my company is…
I lost my Inspiration in the cold heart of January. Not ‘the’ inspiration to get up in the morning, go to exercise class, or cook a nice dinner. But ‘my’ inspiration.
American artist Georgia O’Keeffe once said, “When you take a bunch of flowers in your hand and actually look at it, it’s your world for the minute.”
It has been almost three months since I flung all caution to the wind and jumped off the cliff. My entrance into the entrepreneurial sea was not as graceful as the swan dive that I had imagined but I am happy to report it was not a belly flop either. As many of my friends and family will attest, seeds of starting my own business have always been germinating deep in my mind.
How on earth do you come up with a name for your new business? What must it say and how does it encompass your vision and brand? Is it catchy without being kitschy? Does it need to refer to your product or should it elicit some curiosity? Does it lend itself to an interesting logo? And the questions go on and on. It can drive one crazy.
After six weeks of Lolili being open for business, I decided it was time to reflect upon my new and exciting venture. Although always an entrepreneur at heart, it wasn’t until a career-ending accident over four years ago literally knocked me on my head, wrenched my arm, and said…Ok, it’s time!
